Buried in Mexico was the first band I shot that night. Three-piece band, they sound like they could be 4 or 5, mostly thanks to the communicative energy of the lead singer Jessica.

The ambiant light is very dark at the Monto Water Rats, so you have to play it sneaky with the projectors. The lights guy has several ‘moods’, his favorites being completely blue and completely red… The picture below is a ‘blue’ moment converted in black&white in Lightroom.

Technical note: you might want to close the aperture a little in case of massively back-lit subjects… otherwise, you get a 80% white picture and you can say bye bye silhouette.
